Ford Racing 30 Lb/Hr Fuel Injectors. Alternate Part# 0280155759, 9454556, 1275395. Remanufactured – Set of 8. These injectors have been fully disassembled, ultrasonically cleaned, flow tested, flow matched, and assembled with all new hardware. If they are brand new and cheap, they’re probably fake. These injectors are no longer available new from Bosch or Ford Racing. If they have “30 LB” stamped on their side instead of the Bosch 0280155759 part number, they are Chinese knockoffs. The latest knockoffs now have the Bosch part number on the side of them, and look less fake than before. The low price on new injectors will give them away. These fake injectors don’t tune right, and don’t last. Trust me on this one guys, those injectors are not worth having. These injectors are genuine Ford Racing/Bosch rebuilt 30# EV6 injectors, with a high quality rebuild. Since this injector is no longer being made new, this is our best option. These were the newest and best 30# injector that Ford Racing made, that was designed for engines with single intake valves, such as the Ford 302. What is the remanufacturing process? All injectors are fully disassembled. All injectors are ultrasonically cleaned. All injectors are tested on a flow bench. All injectors come flow matched to higher than OEM standards. All injectors come ready to install with new Viton O-rings, pintle caps, and filters already installed. All injectors use genuine Bosch cores, and are remanufactured right here in the USA! What’s the actual part number for these injectors? These injectors are an EXACT match for the following part numbers. Bosch 0 280 155 759. What do these injectors flow? The static flow rate of an injector depends on the fuel pressure it is tested at. Here are some common test pressures for this injector. 39.15 PSI (Ford)……………….. 43.5 PSI (Universal)………….. How much horsepower will these support? That varies, depending on the fuel rail pressure you are running, the manifold (boost) pressure, the RPM the engine is turning, etc. There is no precise way to know exactly. However, the engineers almost all use the same calculations to estimate injector horsepower capability. The desired duty cycle of an injector is between 80 to 90% duty cycle at peak power, so I will estimate a typical V8 recommendation below. Max estimated horsepower at 80% duty cycle and 39 PSI : 393.6 FWHP. Max estimated horsepower at 85% duty cycle and 39 PSI : 418.2 FWHP. Max estimated horsepower at 90% duty cycle and 39 PSI : 442.8 FWHP. Max estimated horsepower at 80% duty cycle and 58 PSI : 481.7 FWHP. Max estimated horsepower at 85% duty cycle and 58 PSI : 511.8 FWHP. Max estimated horsepower at 90% duty cycle and 58 PSI : 541.9 FWHP. FWHP = Gross Flywheel Horsepower. That’s an engine on an engine dyno, with no belt-driven accessories or drivetrain installed. Typical Ford 5.0L fuel pressure is 39 PSI. Typical GM LS fuel pressure is 58 PSI. What style are these injectors? These are called Bosch EV6 Type III. They are the’long’ style, very commonly used in Ford and GM products. This style of injector has a terrific reputation for quality, longevity, and spray pattern. These are the good ones, and they replaced the older EV1 body style with much better technology. According to Bosch, they are compatible with gasoline and E85, work from 6 to 16 volts, and can handle fuel pressure up to 8 bar (116 PSI). What harness connector do they have? These injectors use the Bosch Minitimer connector. It’s also called Jetronic. Often, this rectangular shaped connector is incorrectly referred to as an “EV1″ connector. EV refers to body style, not connector type. However, this connector was often used on EV1 style injectors. You will get back 8 freshly rebuilt and flow tested injectors. What do these injectors fit? These injectors came from the factory in’96 to’97 Volvo 850 2.3 5 cyl gas turbo engines, and’98 Volvo S70 and V70 2.4 gas turbo engines. They are best suited to engines with one intake valve per cylinder, such as the 302, the 4.6L 2V, the B-headed 4.6L 4V, most GM LS engines, and others. If your pre-2004 Ford engine now makes between 325 and 450 horsepower, this is the injector for you! These injectors can be used in some GM engines such as the LS motors that came in Camaros, Firebirds, Corvettes, and Trucks. Check injector dimensions and harness connector type. Often, these injectors will fit, but may require different harness ends or fuel rails. I can tell you for sure that they fit Mustang GT V8’s from 1986 to 2004 as a direct bolt-in. They were also a direct bolt-in for many Camaros and Firebirds, and some Corvettes. Will these injectors fit other applications? You can make an injector fit anything with the right parts or tools. For example, some cars may require different fuel rails. Many GM trucks will require a different injector harness pigtail. Some cars might require spacers. But these are the typical EV6 long style injector used in many factory cars. You can check the exact dimensions of this injector below. Do these injectors require tuning? If you stick these in a Mustang or GM product, you must have some sort of tuning done to compensate for the increased flow rate. Can you provide tuning for these? No Calibrated MAF required. No fuel pressure tricks. Just proper programming for these injectors, exactly like Ford would have done if these injectors came stock in your Ford vehicle. Computer calibration will require a chip or a programmer. The chip, programmer, or calibration is NOT included in the price of these injectors, but is available separately.
