Another source says only 2001 and newer 1.8t’s need spacers. Fuel rail spacers lift the rail up because these injectors are slightly taller than some of the 1.8t OEM injectors. A simple 10-12mm aluminum spacer is all you need. Some people just use washers or nuts to lift the rail.
